Georgia College & State University is located in Milledgeville, a little over 90 miles southeast of Atlanta. In 1996, the Georgia Board of Regents officially named GCSU as the state's public liberal arts university. Situated in Georgia's antebellum capital, GCSU is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges (COPLAC) and offers undergraduate programs in more than 40 majors and graduate programs in more than 18.

Georgia College & State University is Georgia’s public liberal arts university. As such, the GCSU community is dedicated to the proposition that all minds should be free to travel across disciplines, cultures, and continents. Business and the Liberal Arts

At GCSU, we know that success in today’s global economy requires a foundation of knowledge that is diverse and broad-based. That’s why the J. Whitney Bunting School of Business closely ties its core curriculum to the university’s strong focus on the liberal arts. By offering a wide-range of educational experiences, GCSU seeks to provide its business students with enhanced analytical skills, respect for human dignity, a sense of global responsibility, ethics and integrity, as well as more effective communication and quantitative skills.

Graduate Programs

Master of Business Administration (MBA);
MBA with concentrations in: information systems, accounting, and health services administration;
Master of Accountancy (MAac);
Master of Management Information Systems (MMIS);
WebMBA (Georgia’s WebMBA from consortium of schools).

Undergraduate Programs

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Options include: Accounting, General Business, Management Information Systems, Management and Marketing;

Bachelor of Science (BS) options include:
Computer science and economics; BA in economics;

Minors in business are: economics, general business, finance, international business, information systems, management, and marketing.

The J. Whitney Bunting School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, reaffirmed until 2012.

GCSU School of Business

There are 1,000 undergraduate students and 150 graduate students.

There were 211 undergraduate students and 75 graduate students who received degrees in 2006.
Approximately 20% of the faculty mentored or co-authored publications with students.

Faculty, on average, published 4.2 peer reviewed journal articles each over the last five years with an average of six other publications as well.

An Advisory Board consists of 45 members who actively participate in career development workshops, panel sessions with students, and networking lunches. Advisory Board members contributed to the creation of an Advisement Center with a Career Advisor for the School of Business and helped to endow scholarships.
